3D Printing of a PDMS Cylindrical Microlens Array with 100% Fill-Factor.

ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2021
Cylindrical microlens arrays (CMLAs) play a key role in many optoelectronic devices, and 100% fill-factor CMLAs also have the advantage of improving the signal-to-noise ratio and avoiding stray-light effects.

Cylindrical nearfield calibration array

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1974
The planar nearfield calibration array (NFCA) has previously been used to determine the farfield radiation of underwater transducers from nearfield measurements. We consider here a cylindrical NFCA constructed from a single line of suitably shaded reciprocal hydrophones.

Cylindrical MIMO Array-Based Near-Field Microwave Imaging

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2021
Microwave/millimeter-wave imaging has a wide prospect in applications of concealed weapons detection. The main problem of the existing techniques lies in the contradiction between the imaging speed and the system cost.

Superhydrophobic Cylindrical Nanoshell Array

Langmuir, 2010
A superhydrophobic property was demonstrated on a cylindrical poly crystalline silicon nanoshell array due to its geometrical properties, even without a hydrophobic coating. The proposed structure showed superior water-repellency compared to a conventional pillar structure with an identical structural dimension.

Cylindrical array radiator

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1981
A cylindrical array radiator that reduces the intensity of energy radiatedn undesirable directions. The radiator is constructed so that vertical staves placed on the face of a cylinder are staggered in the vertical direction by a predetermined distance to cancel energy in the undesirable directions.

Cylindrical sonar array

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1989
A cylindrical array employs rectangular planar array segments which extend in the axial direction when assembled on a cylindrical conducting plate having flat longitudinal portions to which the planar array segments are attached. Each planar array segment comprises two columns of planar transducer elements with each column extending in the axial ...

Experimental adaptive cylindrical array

1999 IEEE Aerospace Conference. Proceedings (Cat. No.99TH8403), 1999
An adaptive antenna places nulls in its antenna pattern in the direction of the interfering sources. Adaptive antennas are a subset of smart antennas, and have received considerable interest in the recent wireless revolution. This paper presents a successful application of a genetic algorithm with an experimental antenna for placing a null in the ...

5G beamforming implementation and trade-off investigation of cylindrical array arrangements

International Symposium on Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications, 2019
In this paper, we study the performance of a 5G network working at mmW range for the uplink. We consider a single base station scenario equipped with a cylindrical array and a circular array (which can be seen as a single ring cylindrical array ...

Cylindrical TPV array characterization

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1999
During the past three years, the research staff at Western Washington University’s Vehicle Research Institute has developed a system for characterizing and comparing Thermophotovoltaic (TPV) arrays. The function of this system is to enable the measurement of array power output and efficiency.

Sparse Cylindrical Sonar Arrays

IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering, 2008
Sparse arrays offer a means for reducing the cost and complexity of beamforming systems. Most of the work in the literature has focused on sparse linear arrays with isotropic transducer elements, which simplifies analysis greatly. In this paper, we will focus on multibeam cylindrical arrays using highly directive elements for use in fishery ...
