Automatic surface analysis of 3D-model of cylindrical and non-cylindrical details

2014 Dynamics of Systems, Mechanisms and Machines (Dynamics), 2014
The urgency is the need to increase the level of automation at all stages of design. The aim of the study is to create a mathematical model and the creation of a program to automatically obtain information about the geometrical characteristics of the model details.

Detailed examination of domain wall types, their widths and critical diameters in cylindrical magnetic nanowires

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2022
Abstract Understanding and mastering the magnetic properties of domain walls in cylindrical nanowires is a fundamental pillar for developing novel 3D information technologies. For this purpose, a good comprehension of domain wall (DW) dynamical properties, which are strongly dependent on its type and size, is needed.

Computational Fluid Dynamics of a Cylindrical Nucleation Flow Reactor with Detailed Cluster Thermodynamics

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2012
Particle formation and growth with H(2)SO(4) molecules in an axially symmetric flow reactor was simulated with computational fluid dynamics. A warm (~310 K) gas containing H(2)SO(4) flows into a cooled section (296 K) that induces particle formation. The fluid dynamics gives flow fields, temperatures, and reactant and cluster distributions.

Instrumentation of the sacroiliac joint with cylindrical threaded implants: A detailed finite element study of patient characteristics affecting fixation performance

Journal of Orthopaedic Research, 2021
AbstractThe sacroiliac joint (SIJ) is a known pain generator that, in severe cases, may require surgical fixation to reduce intra‐articular displacements and allow for arthrodesis. The objective of this computational study was to analyze how the number of implants affected SIJ stabilization with patient‐specific characteristics such as the pelvic ...

Detailed Flow Patterns in the Cylindrical Cyclone Dust Collector

1990
Up to this time many papaers concerning the distributions of the tangential, axial and radial velocities, the Reynolds stress and also the equi-flow rate lines, the particle concentration, the fractional collection efficiency and the collection efficiency in the various types of the cyclone dust collectors were reported.

Design details for a small cylindrical mirror analyser

Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1982
The details of the design of a small, inexpensive, simply constructed cylindrical mirror analyser are given. Truncation of the analyser at an angle of 20 degrees without steps to restore the radial nature of the electric field does not seriously affect the operation of the analyser.

Simulations of detonation wave reflection over cylindrical convex surfaces with a detailed reaction model

Physics of Fluids
The unsteady reflection of detonation waves over cylindrical convex surfaces is numerically investigated using a high-resolution adaptive mesh refinement technique combined with a detailed reaction mechanism. Results reveal that cellular instabilities complicate the determination of the transition point from regular reflection to Mach reflection ...

A detailed mathematical model for thermal performance analysis of a cylindrical cavity receiver in a solar parabolic dish collector system

Renewable Energy, 2018
Abstract In this study, a comprehensive mathematical model was developed and proposed for a cylindrical cavity receiver, placed at focal point of a parabolic dish collector (PDC) system. The main approach in the model is based on non-isothermal internal walls of receiver.

Detailed Film Cooling Measurements on a Cylindrical Leading Edge Model: Effect of Free-Stream Turbulence and Coolant Density

Volume 3: Heat Transfer; Electric Power; Industrial and Cogeneration, 1997
Detailed heat transfer coefficient and film effectiveness distributions are presented on a cylindrical leading edge model using a transient liquid crystal technique. Tests were done in a low speed wind tunnel on a cylindrical model in a crossflow with two rows of injection holes.
