Vibrational lapping of cylindrical parts

Lapping is a familiar finishing method for plane, cylindrical, conical, and complex surfaces, used to increase their accuracy and quality. In the present work, we consider a new lapping method for the cylindrical parts most often found in roller bearings, piston pairs in fuel pumps, hydraulic systems, and elsewhere.
