Elasticity solution for laminated anisotropic cylindrical panels in cylindrical bending

Composite Structures, 1995
Abstract This paper establishes the three-dimensional elasticity solution for infinitely long, arbitrarily laminated, anisotropic cylindrical panels with simply supported boundary condition under transverse loading. Using a series method, the solution can be formulated exactly.

Vibration characteristics of thin cylindrical panels

Applied Acoustics, 1994
Abstract A study of free vibration of thin cylindrical panels was carried out using a method based on Flugge's theory for thin shells. The cylindrical panels studied were the square and rectangular planform types with the four edges simply supported.

Buckling of cylindrical shell panels in ANSYS

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2020
In this paper, the authors test a method of studying the stability and stress-strain state of a cylindrical shell structure under various loads in the ANSYS Mechanical APDL 19.2 software package. The analyses are performed using the arc-length method.

Some aspects of cylindrical shell panel flutter

5th Aerospace Sciences Meeting, 1967
Abstract : The investigation makes a direct comparison of cylindrical shell panel flutter boundaries obtained analytically with recent experimental boundaries reported in the literature. Further, an attempt was made to explain the discrepancies of the comparison through refinements of some structural aspects of the analysis.

Free Vibrations of Oval Cylindrical Panels

Journal of Engineering Mechanics, 1984
In this paper the dynamic characteristics of oval cylindrical panels, with simply supported curved edges and various boundary conditions along the straight edges, are established on the basis of the Flugge or Donnell type theories using the procedure presented by the writers (5).

Bending Behavior of Cylindrical Web Panels

Journal of the Structural Division, 1972
The stress distribution in cylindrical web panels of horizontally curved girders subjected to an applied moment is studied analytically. Both the membrane state of stress in the plane of the web and the web bending stresses resulting from the curvature of the panel are considered.

Natural vibrations of parallelogram cylindrical panels

Strength of Materials, 1981
In the present study, the problem of the natural vibrations of cylindrical panels restrained along the entire perimeter is examined in the linear statement. The solution of this problem presents significant difficulties caused by the skew edges of the panels.

Edge debonding in patched cylindrical panels

International Journal of Solids and Structures, 1996
Abstract Circumferential edge debonding is considered for structural configurations corresponding to patched cylindrical panels, under a variety of loading conditions. These include applied circumferential tension, radial three-point loading, and applied pressure.

Natural Vibrations of Cylindrical Panels

Journal of the Engineering Mechanics Division, 1968
In terms of Lame parameters, basic equations and energy expressions are formulated for the moderately thick-walled shells. The general formulations are then specialized for cylindrical panels. The frequency determinants are obtained by the Rayleigh-Ritz procedure.

Vibrations of Partial Cylindrical Panels

2009
Free and forced vibrations of thick visco-elastic cylindrical panels are investigated. The medium in this case is assumed to be homogeneous, isotropic, linearly visco-elastic, thick cylindrical panel of infinite extent. In development of an analytical solution, two dimensional elasto-dynamic theory is employed and linear visco-elastic material is ...
