On the Frictional Instabilities in a Cylindrical Roller Bearing
Tribology Transactions, 1990Computer simulations of a high-speed cylindrical roller bearing, as obtained by the computer code ADORE, are used to correlate bearing performance to the frictional behavior at the roller/race and cage contacts. It is shown that an optimum traction-slip relation at the roller/race contacts may be determined to produce minimum race wear and heat ...

Effect of Varying the Number of Rollers on Dynamics of a Cylindrical Roller Bearing
Volume 8: 26th Conference on Mechanical Vibration and Noise, 2014In present paper, nonlinear dynamic model has been developed for cylindrical roller bearings. The Hertzian contact theory is used to derive a two degree of freedom model which considers nonlinearity due to clearance. The nonlinear dynamic behaviour of cylindrical roller bearing has been studied with varying number of rollers supporting load.

Misalignment Problems in Cylindrical Roller Bearings
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1970<div class="htmlview paragraph">In the application of cylindrical roller radial bearings where cumulative assembly tolerances or load deflection insure a significant skewness between inner and outer race center lines, careful design and manufacturing methods are required to provide reliable performance.

An Optical Study of the Lubrication of a 65 mm Cylindrical Roller Bearing
Journal of Lubrication Technology, 1979All measurements of EHD film thicknesses have been carried out in simulated test machines. This study uses an actual bearing. A test rig using a 65 mm bore radial cylindrical roller bearing has been constructed with a specially designed sapphire window in the outer track. Full loads, and speeds to 3000 rpm were applied.

Slipping characteristics of cylindrical roller bearings with multiple defective rollers
Measurement Science and TechnologyAbstract The dynamic interaction among multiple defective rollers in cylindrical roller bearings (CRBs) would lead to the complex vibrations of bearings and slip behavior of rollers. Compared with raceway defects, roller defects involve a more intricate contact process, which has often been oversimplified in previous studies. However,

A New Design Concept in Cylindrical Roller Bearings
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1966<div class="htmlview paragraph">Recent research activity has led to a new design concept in cylindrical roller bearings, obtainable by a judicious choice of roller parameters best suited to the results of our experimental testing. Optimizing of the internal bearing geometry and race wall proportions has provided an increased load rating in an ...
