Laser–Material Interactions of High-Quality Ultrashort Pulsed Vector Vortex Beams

open access: yesMicromachines, 2021
Diffractive multi-beams based on 1 × 5 and 2 × 2 binary Dammann gratings applied to a spatial light modulator (SLM) combined with a nanostructured S-wave plate have been used to generate uniform multiple cylindrical vector beams with radial and azimuthal

Real‐Time 3D Ultrasound Imaging with an Ultra‐Sparse, Low Power Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a novel, ultra‐sparse ultrasound architecture that paves the way for wearable real‐time 3D imaging. By integrating a unique convolutional array with chirped data acquisition, the system achieves high‐resolution volumetric scans at a fraction of the power and hardware complexity.

Near-field and high-resolution cylindrical noise source location method based on vector sound pressure array

open access: yesZhongguo Jianchuan Yanjiu, 2017
The existing underwater noise source near-field location method usually assumes that the measurement plane is flat, which increases the difficulty of applying the underwater noise target test for cylindrical distribution. Simultaneously, the conventional

Measuring of Transverse Energy Flows in a Focus of an Aluminum Lens

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
In this study, we theoretically and experimentally investigate the propagation of a second-order cylindrical vector beam through an aluminum lens which forms a tight focus at the distance of the wavelength. Simulation by the finite-difference time-domain

Representation theory for vector electromagnetic beams

open access: yes, 2008
A representation theory of finite electromagnetic beams in free space is formulated by factorizing the field vector of the plane-wave component into a $3 \times 2$ mapping matrix and a 2-component Jones-like vector.

Focusing a cylindrical vector beam and the Hall effect

open access: yesКомпьютерная оптика
Polarization of a higher-order cylindrical vector beam (CVB) is known to be locally linear. The higher the beam order, the larger number of full circles the local linear polarization vector makes around the optical axis.

Method and apparatus for second-rank tensor generation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
A method and apparatus are disclosed for generation of second-rank tensors using a photorefractive crystal to perform the outer-product between two vectors via four-wave mixing, thereby taking 2n input data to a control n squared output data points.
