A new object is introduced into the theory of partitions that generalizes plane partitions: cylindric partitions. We obtain the generating function for cylindric partitions of a given shape that satisfy certain row bounds as a sum of determinants of q q -binomial coefficients.

An algorithm for evaluating cylindricity according to the minimum condition
, 2020Cylindricity evaluation plays an important role in processing quality evaluation. Accordingly, a new algorithm for evaluating cylindricity based on the minimum condition is presented. First, a theoretical “minimax” optimization model based on the minimum

A cylindrical optical backplane using Plexiglas stacked disks, light-emitting diodes, and p-i-n photodiodes is described. The main advantage of the design is its simplicity and lack of both precision optics and critical alignment requirements.

A cylindricity evaluation approach with multi-systematic error for large rotating components
Metrologia, 2020For reduction of the cylindricity evaluation uncertainty for large rotating components with large radius and height, the cylindrical profile measurement model is designed with multi-systematic error considering eccentricity, probe offset, probe radius ...

A cylindrical rainbow hologram is studied with a view to widening the horizontal viewing zone by using some unique mirror elements. The experimental result is compared with the calculation in reference to image blur and visual field restriction, both of which are caused by the fact that the rainbow hologram takes the shape of a cylinder. As a result, a

A Novel Cylindricity Measurement Method for Large Workpiece Based on Improved Model and Algorithm
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and MeasurementCylindricity is a crucial factor to estimate the manufacturing quality of large rotary parts. However, existing measurement systems can hardly deal with the precise cylindricity measurement challenges posed by large dimensions and great weights.
