Cynips Q. pomiformis, n. sp.Globular, polythalamous galls, sessile on the twigs of Quercus Agrifolia, much resembling small round apples except that the apex is not depressed as is usuaily the case in this fruit. Size from one to two inches in diameter. Color various shades of brown, depending upon the degree of exposure to the sun.

First record of Cynipidae from Myanmar with description of a new species of Lithosaphonecrus (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae: Synergini)

A new cynipid species, Lithosaphonecrus mindatus Ide, Aung & Tanaka, sp. nov., is described from Chin State, northwestern Myanmar. This is the first record of Cynipidae from this country. The new species emerged from a bud gall of Lithocarpus thomsonii. The new species’ morphological features closely resemble L.
