Cypermethrin is an important synthetic pyrethroid pesticide that widely used to control pests in agriculture. However, extensive use has caused its residue and the metabolite 3-phenoxybenzoic acid (3-PBA) to seriously pollute the environments and ...

Effects of dietary cypermethrin on chickens [PDF]
In the following study effects of dietary cypermethrin in chickens were observed. Chickens were administered cypermethrin in the feed in nominal concentrations of 150, 300 and 600 ppm (mean measured concentrations: 130, 285 and 655 mg/kg feed) for a ...

Estimation of the solubility parameters of model plant surfaces and agrochemicals: a valuable tool for understanding plant surface interactions [PDF]
Background Most aerial plant parts are covered with a hydrophobic lipid-rich cuticle, which is the interface between the plant organs and the surrounding environment.

Bioassays of 36 Leucoptera coffeella populations revealed resistance to neurotoxic insecticides, control failures of ≤62.9% and enzyme activity variation, with particularly high GST and low AChE levels. Abstract Background Leucoptera coffeella is a key pest of coffee crops in Brazil, causing significant damage by mining coffee leaves.

Does microemulsification improve the insecticidal activity of cypermethrin against the melon aphid, Aphis gossypii (Hemiptera: Aphididae)? [PDF]
The melon aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover (Hemiptera: Aphididae) is one of the important ornamental plant pests in urban regions. In this study, the microemulsion system was developed using cypermethrin insecticide as the active ingredient, xylene as the ...

Novel pathway of cypermethrin biodegradation in a Bacillus sp. strain SG2 isolated from cypermethrin-contaminated agriculture field [PDF]
Pesticides belonging to pyrethroid group are widely used in agricultural fields to check pest infestation in different crops for enhanced food production. In spite of beneficial effects, non-judicious use of pesticides imposes harmful effect on human health as their residues reach different food materials and ground water via leaching, percolation and ...

Investigating zeta‐cypermethrin resistance stability in California Drosophila suzukii populations
After continuous selection and removal of selection pressure in spotted‐wing Drosophila, zeta‐cypermethrin resistance remained stable over several generations. Following a population bottleneck, zeta‐cypermethrin resistance increased without selection, highlighting the importance of insecticide rotation.
