Identification of ketones in cyperus

Tetrahedron, 1968
Abstract The identity of a ketone (cyperenone) common to Cyperus scarosius, C. articulatus and C. rotundus has been established by PMR and mass spectral study of its 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone (DNP). Confusion in previous reports concerning the ketonic constituent from different species of Cyperus is clarified.
