Aims CYP2C19 is one of the most important pharmacogenes, and its activity is highly variable due to factors such as genetics or drug–drug interactions. Due to the lack of an appropriate endogenous CYP2C19 biomarker, surrogate methods to assess its activity are warranted.

Aim The purpose of this study is to evaluate safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics (PK), food‐effect (FE) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of an oral tyrosine kinase‐2 (TYK2)/Janus kinase‐1 (JAK1) inhibitor, SDC‐1801, in healthy adult participants. Methods This first‐in‐human study randomized 95 male and female participants.

Pharmacokinetic interactions between Echinacea and two antiviral drugs, favipiravir and atazanavir, were assessed in rats. The findings suggest that Echinacea does not significantly affect the pharmacokinetics of favipiravir and atazanavir. These results provide preliminary evidence that concurrent use of Echinacea with these antiviral drugs may be ...

Reduction kinetics of cytochromes b
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Bioenergetics, 1972Abstract 1. 1. Durohydroquinone (H2DQ), a specific reductant for the second phosphorylation site, has been used in the study of the fast reduction kinetics of cytochromes b. 2. 2. In ubiquinone-extracted mitochondria, H2DQ reduces cytochrome(s) b in a fast reaction, the rate and extent of which decreases upon reincorporation of ubiquinone ...

On the Structure and Function of Cytochrome b-559
Photosynthesis Research, 1986A sumary of biochemical, biophysical, and molecular biological data is presented which led to the identification of two different polypeptides (α and β, MW=9.16 and 4.27 kDa) in the cytochrome b-559 protein. The presence of a single His residue on each polypeptide, and the conclusion from spectroscopy that the heme coordination must be bis-histidine ...
