Lactate‐Driven Restriction of Mitochondrial Permeability Transition Promotes Resistance to Chemo‐Immunotherapy by Suppressing Tumor PANoptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor‐derived lactate establishes a metabolic lock that drives chemo‐immunotherapy resistance by suppressing PANoptosis. Mechanistically, KAT8 lactylates the mitochondrial translocator ANT2, which recruits PGAM5 to dephosphorylate CypD. This cascade restricts mitochondrial permeability transition pore opening, preventing pro‐inflammatory mtDNA leakage.

Unraveling a Diagnostic Enigma: A TECPR2 Case Solved Through Multi‐Omic Genomics

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT TECPR2 is a key regulator of autophagy, encoded by the TECPR2 gene. Pathogenic variants in this gene have been linked to a rare hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy with intellectual disability (HSAN9). We report a teenage female with a syndromic intellectual disability disorder associated with neuromuscular abnormalities.

Uncovering Cystic Fibrosis Carrier: Insights From a Heterozygous CFTR‐F508del Rabbit Model

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a heterogeneous inflammatory disorder frequently associated with impaired mucociliary clearance and bacterial infection. Individuals carrying a single cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) mutation exhibit partial CFTR dysfunction and are increasingly recognized as being at risk ...

Characterization of cytochromes c550 and c555 from Bradyrhizobium japonicum: cloning, mutagenesis, and sequencing of the c555 gene (cycC

open access: yes, 1991
The major soluble c-type cytochromes in cultured cells of Bradyrhizobium japonicum USDA 110 comprised a CO-reactive c555 (Mr, 15,500) and a non-CO-reactive c55o (Mr,-12,500).

One‐step generation of heritable mitochondrial DNA multiplex‐engineered rats using DddA‐derived cytosine base editor

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
We established that mixed DdCBE microinjection is an efficient, heritable, and precise strategy for generating multiplex mtDNA mutant rats. This advancement significantly expands the utility of DdCBEs for mitochondrial disease modeling, providing a robust platform for exploring the pathogenic mechanisms of complex mtDNA mutations and developing ...

Low temperature EPR and Mossbauer spectroscopic of two cytochromes with His-Met axial coordination exhibiting HALS signals

open access: yes, 2006
C-type cytochromes with histidine–methionine (His–Met) iron coordination play important roles in electron-transfer reactions and in enzymes. Low-temperature electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra of low-spin ferric cytochromes c can be divided ...

π‐Enlargement in Porphyrin Macrocycles at Interfaces

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
On‐surface synthesis of a 20‐π free‐base expanded porphyrin, by depositing onto a hot Ag(111) substrate an 18‐π free‐base precursor equipped with ‐CF3 functional groups ABSTRACT Porphyrins are essential heteroatomic macrocycles, fundamental to both biological systems and advanced technology.
