Materials and Corrosion, Volume 75, Issue 7, Page 856-866, July 2024.Three different surface pretreatment processes have generated distinct corrosion effects. Compared to the polished (PO) sample, the dislocations and residual stresses introduced in sandblasted (SB) and machined (MA) treatments resulted in more intensive oxidation, leaving the MA sample with the heaviest oxidation layer overall.
