d-Wave Tunnel Junctions

International Journal of Modern Physics B, 1999
We study the tunneling spectra for superconductor-insulator-normal metal (S-I-N) tunnel junctions with an s -wave or a d -wave superconductor within the weak-coupling model. We deduce the temperature behavior of tunneling conductance and their peak positions as well as of the zero-bias conductance.

Rough walls in d-wave superconductors

Superlattices and Microstructures, 1999
The theoretical model of a rough wall in a superconductor with d-wave pairing is studied. The surface roughness is introduced by means of an impurity layer covering the wall and the boundary conditions are derived for the quasiclassical Eilenberger equations at the wall.

INTERFACE SCATTERING EFFECT ON JOSEPHSON CURRENT IN A d-WAVE SUPERCONDUCTOR/d-WAVE SUPERCONDUCTOR JUNCTION

Modern Physics Letters B, 2011
By taking into account the interface scattering effect in a d-wave superconductor (S)/insulator layer (I)/d-wave superconductor (S) junction, the temperature dependence of the critical current and the current-phase relation are studied theoretically.

The antiparamagnon in D-wave superconductor

Physica C: Superconductivity, 1994
Making use of the antiparamagnon propagator obtained for 2D t−J model with random phase approximation, we analyse the nuclear spin lattice relaxation of Cu-nuclei on the CuO2 plane in high Tc copper oxides. Within our model a parameter λ = 1.91 Tc/μ plays a crucial role where Tc is the superconducting transition temperature and μ is the chemical ...

Zero Bias Conductance in d‐Wave Superconductor/Ferromagnet/d‐Wave Superconductor Trilayers

physica status solidi (b), 2018
Zero bias conductance (ZBC) in ballistic voltage‐biased d‐wave superconductor/ferromagnet/d‐wave superconductor (DFD) junctions is studied theoretically, for various orientations of superconducting electrodes. We show that ZBC increases with exchange field h in the F barrier, up to some maximum value of h which is of the order of the pair potential in ...

Quantum Dynamics of a d-Wave Josephson Junction

Science, 2006
Here we present the direct observation of macroscopic quantum properties in an all high-critical-temperature superconductor d-wave Josephson junction. Although dissipation caused by low-energy excitations is expected to strongly suppress macroscopic quantum effects, we demonstrate energy level quantization in our d-wave Josephson junction.

Quasiparticle Transport Properties of d-Wave Superconductor/Ferromagnet/d-Wave Superconductor Junctions

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 2013
Solving the time-dependent Bogoliubov–de Gennes equations, we calculate current–voltage characteristics (CVC) and conductances (G) of clean d-wave superconductor/ferromagnet/d-wave superconductor (DFD) junctions with transparent D/F interfaces. Due to the suppression of Andreev reflection (AR) by the exchange energy \(h\) in the ferromagnetic barrier ...

Zeeman effects on Josephson current in d-wave superconductor/d-wave superconductor junctions

Chinese Physics B, 2008
This paper solves a self-consistent equation for the d-wave superconducting gap and the effective exchange field in the mean-field approximation, and studies the Zeeman effects on the d-wave superconducting gap and thermodynamic potential. The Josephson currents in the d-wave superconductor(S)/insulating layer(I)/d-wave S junctions are calculated as a ...

Vortices in d-wave superconductors

Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 1995
Abstract Vortex state solutions are studied in mean field theory for the simplest microscopic model of unconventional superconductivity, the nearest neighbor tight-binding model on a square lattice with on-site and nearest neighbor interactions, which has d- and extended s-wave mean field ground states for suitable values of the parameters.
