Cellulose Nanocrystal‐Reinforced Waterborne Polyurethane Composites with Excellent Dynamic Impact Resistance

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.
The hydrogen‐bond‐enhanced CNC/WPU nanocomposites, fabricated via solution casting, exhibited a 59.6% increase in elastic modulus (5.57 ± 0.46 GPa), 29.9% higher energy absorption (165.2 ± 6.7 MJ·m−3), and a 36.21% improvement in maximum engineering stress (545.5 ± 17.5 MPa) at 0.5 wt.% CNC.

The Interplay of Inflated Expectations, (Dis)Confirmation, and Emotional Spillover: Implications for Post‐Purchase Loyalty in Mystery Deals

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mystery deals, a marketing tactic used to boost sales, involve withholding the exact version of the product a customer will receive until after purchase. While prior research has examined consumers' pre‐purchase reactions to mystery deals, their post‐purchase responses remain underexplored.

Pienjännitekatkaisijoiden säätö [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää pienjännitekatkaisijoiden releiden asettelua, jotta asentajilla ja suunnittelijoilla olisi katkaisijan käyttöönottotilanteessa mahdollista tarkistaa sekä tehdä suojareleen asettelu itse.

Intratumoral Nerve Phased Development: A Promising Therapeutic Target

open access: yesMedicine Bulletin, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The nervous system has emerged as a critical regulator of tumor biology, engaging in dynamic crosstalk with cancer cells. Although the protumorigenic role of innervation is well established, increasing attention is now directed toward reciprocal influences—how tumors actively shape and remodel local nerve networks within the tumor ...

Sedum diversiflorum sp. nov. (Crassulaceae), a new species with variable merosity from the Satsunan Islands, Kagoshima, Japan

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
We re‐examined the taxonomic status of a plant previously identified as Sedum formosanum subsp. formosanum from four islands in the Satsunan Islands, Japan. To clarify its taxonomic identity, we conducted morphological and phenological comparisons and performed molecular phylogenetic analyses based on nuclear internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and three

Using Vp$V_p$ and Vs$V_s$ to characterize the spatial extent of shear strengthening under a longleaf pine

open access: yesNear Surface Geophysics, EarlyView.
Abstract Tree roots modify the elastic and mechanical properties of soil. High‐resolution seismic refraction surveys offer a novel, noninvasive approach to characterize how roots impact the elastic properties of soil beneath trees. This study presents two perpendicular profiles of P‐wave (Vp$V_p$) and transversely polarized S‐wave (Vs$V_s$) velocities ...

Modelling response of Delottococcus aberiae (De lotto) male captures to pheromone emission rates

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Using increasing doses of the sex pheromone of D. aberiae, our model revealed that the emission levels to maximize the captures of males ranges from 0.4 to 40 μg/day. Abstract BACKGROUND An invasive mealybug from South Africa identified as Delottococcus aberiae (De Lotto) (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae) is causing severe distortions and fruit size ...
