Assessment of variation in pear genotypes through genetic divergence and cluster analysis using D2 statistics [PDF]

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Agricultural Research, 2015
The genetic divergence among twenty-three pear genotypes under the present study was of medium quantum. The studied genotypes, on the basis of total variability were grouped into three distinct clusters. Maximum number of cultivars were accommodated in Cluster II (Ishiwase, Seckel, Anjou, Beurre Hardy, Lisnova Karavista, Jargonelle, Kala Hathi, Autumn ...

Optimization of ultra-precision CBN turning of AISI D2 using hybrid GA-RSM and Taguchi-GRA statistic tools

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
Ultra-precision turning is a crucial process in the manufacturing industry as it helps to produce parts with high dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and tolerance. The process is similar to traditional turning but is carried out under special circumstances to achieve greater precision and surface finish.

Erythropoietin modulates hepatic inflammation, glucose homeostasis, and soluble epoxide hydrolase and epoxides in high‐fat diet‐induced obese mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...

Developmental, Neuroanatomical and Cellular Expression of Genes Causing Dystonia

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Dystonia is one of the most common movement disorders, with variants in multiple genes identified as causative. However, an understanding of which developmental stages, brain regions, and cell types are most relevant is crucial for developing relevant disease models and therapeutics.

Normal‐Appearing White Matter Injury Mediates Chronic Deep Venous Hypoxia and Disease Progression in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To explore how cerebral hypoxia and Normal‐Appearing White Matter (NAWM) integrity affect MS lesion burden and clinical course. Methods Seventy‐nine MS patients, including 13 clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) patients and 66 relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients, and 44 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited from ...

Genetic diversity, variability and correlation studies of spike characters in bread wheat under boron deficient soil condition [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2014
Experiment was carried out in a randomized complete block with 21 wheat genotypes under boron deficient soil condition. Divergence was studied by multivariate analysis using D2 statistics and the genotypes were grouped into different clusters.

Microstructure Evolution of a VMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy After Synthesis, Swaging, and Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The synthesis and processing (rotary swaging and annealing) of the novel VMnFeCoNi alloy is investigated, alongside the estimation of the grain size effect on hardness. Analysis of a wide grain size range of recrystallized microstructures (12–210 µm) reveals a low annealing twin density.

Genetic diversity analysis in in rabi sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) local genotypes [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2010
Mahalanobis D2 statistics was applied to assess the divergence among the 50 local collections and 4 popular cultivars of rabisorghum. The analysis of variance revealed significant differences among the genotypes for all the traits studied.
