The separation of manganese from cobalt by D2EHPA
Hydrometallurgy, 1984Abstract The separation of manganese from cobalt in sulphate solution by D2EHPA diluted with kerosene is reported. Manganese can be separated by controlling the aqueous and organic pH in the neighborhood of 4.2 and 2.0, respectively. A continuous separation process is proposed.

On the kinetics of rare-earth extraction into D2EHPA
Chemical Engineering Science, 1999Abstract Extraction kinetics of rare-earth elements (La 3+ , Ce 3+ , Pr 3+ , Nd 3+ , Eu 3+ ) in nitric acid, thiocyanate and formate into D2EHPA (bis-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid ester, 0.05 kmol m -3 ) is studied in a stirred cell at pH=2.1. Extraction rate is found to be limited by diffusion.

Interfacial tension studies on the extraction of lanthanum by d2ehpa
Hydrometallurgy, 1986Abstract Values of interfacial tension can be useful in providing an insight into interfacial behaviour for immiscible liquids. Changes of interfacial tension during extraction for the system La(NO 3 ) 3 —D2EHPA—diluents are reported. The selected parameters which can affect the change of interfacial tension are aqueous pH and aromatic and aliphatic ...

Synergistic extraction of nucleobases by the combination of calixarene and D2EHPA
Separation and Purification Technology, 2005A calix[6]arene carboxylic acid derivative incorporating tert-octyl groups at the upper rim was found to be soluble in an aliphatic organic solvent. The extraction behavior of various nucleobases was investigated with the calix[6]arene carboxylic acid derivative. In an isooctane system, neither calix[6]arene nor D2EHPA were very effective at nucleobase

Facilitated SLM extraction of peptides with D2EHPA as a carrier
Desalination, 2004Abstract The extraction of short peptides through a supported liquid membrane containing di-2-(ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) as a carrier was investigated. The extraction was carried out from the aqueous donor phase with pH 3 to amore acidic acceptor phase.

Studies of polyamines transport through liquid membranes with D2EHPA as a carrier
Journal of Separation Science, 2008AbstractThe transport of polyamines through the liquid membranes with di‐2‐ethylhexyl phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) was investigated. The study was performed in three main steps: liquid–liquid extraction (LLE), bulk liquid membrane (BLM) extraction, and supported liquid membrane (SLM) extraction.

Microkinetics and reaction equilibria in the system ZnSO4/D2EHPA/isododecane
Hydrometallurgy, 1999Abstract Studies have been made on the kinetics of zinc extraction for the ZnSO 4 /D2EHPA/isododecane system which is being considered as a Recommended Liquid–Liquid Extraction Test System by the European Federation of Chemical Engineering (EFCE) Working Party on Distillation, Absorption and Extraction.

Sedimentation behavior of droplets for the reactive extraction of zinc with D2EHPA
AIChE Journal, 2009AbstractThe sedimentation characteristics of the reactive standard test system zinc + D2EHPA are investigated in this work. Experiments with single droplets rising in a stagnant continuous phase have been carried out. The concentration of D2EHPA, zinc, and sulfuric acid as well as the diameter of the droplets are varied.

Stoichiometric relation for the extraction of the gold-thiourea complex with D2EHPA
Hydrometallurgy, 1995Abstract The stoichiometric relation for the solvent extraction of gold from acidic thiourea solutions was studied with di(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (D2EHPA). The results showed that the gold-thiourea complex was solvated with five molecules of the D2EHPA monomer and that the extracted species were not associated with each other.

Structure formation in LnCl3-H2O-D2EHPA-Solvent systems
Theoretical Foundations of Chemical Engineering, 2015The structure formation in aqueous and organic phases during extraction of REEs by D2EHPA solutions has been studied. It has been shown that the limiting stress of shear increases; in addition, the limiting stress of shear for organic phase is far higher than that for the aqueous phase.
