Unlocking the Influence of Personality Traits and Culture on Entrepreneurial Intention: Evidence from a Transition Economy

open access: yesFoundations of Management
This study examines the influence of personality traits and culture on entrepreneurial intention in the context of Vietnam, a transition economy. An integrated research framework was built that consisted of two dominant personality traits, including the ...

Scalar and vector mesons of flavor chiral symmetry breaking in the Klebanov-Strassler background

open access: yes, 2011
Recently, Dymarsky, Kuperstein and Sonnenschein constructed an embedding of flavor D7- and anti-D7-branes in the Klebanov-Strassler geometry that breaks the supersymmetry of the background, yet is stable.

Dual Action of Dipyridamole in Experimental Rheumatoid Arthritis: Suppression of Joint Inflammation and Upregulation of Muscle Anabolism via Adenosine and AMPK Pathways

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective Rheumatoid sarcopenia, characterized by the progressive loss of skeletal muscle mass and function, is a frequent comorbidity in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), linked to prolonged, severe systemic inflammation. Purinergic signaling (adenosine, AMP, and ATP) plays a crucial role in inflammation, myogenesis, and muscle hypertrophy.

Metabolomic investigation of cisplatin‐induced acute kidney injury in paediatric cancer patients

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aim Cisplatin causes acute kidney injury (AKI) in approximately 46% of paediatric cancer patients who receive it. Serum creatinine (SCr) is a poor biomarker of cisplatin nephrotoxicity, because there is a delay between cisplatin infusion and SCr elevation.

Flux-induced Soft Terms on Type IIB/F-theory Matter Curves and Hypercharge Dependent Scalar Masses

open access: yes, 2014
Closed string fluxes induce generically SUSY-breaking soft terms on supersymmetric type IIB orientifold compactifications with D3/D7 branes. This was studied in the past by inserting those fluxes on the DBI+CS actions for adjoint D3/D7 fields, where D7 ...

T½ Tuning in a Synergistic BODIPY‐Tetrazole Fe(II) Spin‐Crossover‐Photoluminescence System via Co‐Ligand Variation

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
We report a modular spin crossover‐photoluminescence (SCO‐PL) system: heteroleptic, mononuclear Fe(II) coordination compounds bearing equatorial BODIPY fluorophores that exhibit synergistic PL response upon spin state switching. Exchanging apical nitrile co‐ligands tunes electronic and structural properties, giving precise control over the SCO and PL ...

Asymmetric Reduction of Unactivated Alkenes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Unactivated alkenes rank among the most inert functional groups in synthesis and their selective reduction remains challenging. This Review charts the evolution from classical metal‐catalyzed hydrogenation to radical hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) and emerging biocatalytic concepts, highlighting how complementary mechanistic strategies, including the ...

Solvent Effects on the Conformational Preferences of 2,6‐Pyridylcarboxamide Foldamers

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The marked effect of organic solvents and water/methanol mixtures on the conformational preferences of a soluble chiral foldamer has been established in a diverse array of seventeen distinct environments. ABSTRACT The marked influence of organic solvents and water on the conformational preferences of a chiral, soluble 2,6‐pyridylcarboxamide foldamer ...
