Приводится описание акулы Isistius brasiliensis (длина 452 мм, масса 430 г), пойманной у южных Курильских островов 18 июля 1978 г. Кроме пластических признаков сообщается о количестве туловищных и хвостовых позвонков, рядов зубов, рядов сердечных клапанов и витков спирального клапана кишечника.
