On the dynamic evolution of ductile damage
International Journal of Fracture, 1996In the present report some numerical results on the evolution equation of microvoids under quasi-static simplification (without consideration of inertial effect) are given in terms of the increasing rate of porosity versus external stress at different damage levels and in various damage stages at different material viscosities.

Kinetic Laws of Damage Evolution
1992The physical nature of damage has been defined in the first chapter. The definition of the damage variable as the effective surface density of microcracks in a Representative Volume Element associated with the effective stress concept and the principle of equivalence has given rise to methods of damage measurement through changes in elasticity or ...

Damage Evolution and Failure Modes
1995A polycrystalline solid is said to deform in a ductile (or plastic) mode if “the material flows through the crystal via dislocation motion,..., whereas the lattice itself, with the material embedded on it, undergoes elastic deformation and rotation” [1].

Damage Evolution in Filled Elastomers
1991Abstract : This report summarizes accomplishments on the development of mathematical models of distributed microcracking in filled elastomers, such as solid propellant, and in other linear and nonlinear viscoelastic composite materials. The work is divided into two parts. The first part is concerned with elastic composites while the second part extends

Oxygen Deficiency and Brain Damage: Localization, Evolution in Time, and Mechanisms of Damage
Journal of Toxicology: Clinical Toxicology, 1985Observations on some patients with CO intoxication have revealed a delayed type of brain injury, with symptoms appearing days after the initial insult. Possible mechanisms are discussed, with reference to recent experimental results on ischemic brain damage.

Inelastic Constitutive Equation and Damage Evolution Equation of Material with Anisotropic Damage
2011The thermodynamic constitutive theory described in the preceding chapter is applied to inelastic materials with isotropic damage. In Section 4.1, one-dimensional elastic-plastic and elastic-viscoplastic constitutive equations of damaged materials will be described as the basis for the succeeding sections.
