Identification of Fragmented Pictures in Patients With Brain Damage

Applied Neuropsychology, 1998
Identification of fragmented pictures was investigated using line drawings (Snodgrass, Smith, Feenan, & Corwin, 1987) in 236 healthy participants and 43 patients with unilateral lesions of the right or left hemisphere. Perceptual closure (the integration of fragments into a meaningful perceptual whole) depended on the amount of physical visual ...

Damage Identification of Existing Structures

1982
In the classical theory of structural reliability as given by Freudenthal (1947), a structure is said to fail whenever the applied force exceeds its corresponding resistance. Although much progress has been made in the theory of structural reliability in recent years [e.g., Freudenthal et al (1975), Shinozuka and Yang (1969), Yang and Shinozuka (1971 ...

Identification of Damage in Hysteretic Structures.

1983
Abstract : In structural engineering it is imperative to design each system to survive the inputs anticipated over the design life of the structure. Strong motion inputs cause systems to execute nonlinear responses, and during the strong motion responses, structures accumulate damage. Therefore, the capability to model nonlinear responses and to assess

Damage identification on spatial arches

2014
In the paper the dynamic behavior of spatial structures composed by assemblies of circular arches is studied in both undamaged and damaged states. The exact natural frequencies of vibration are evaluated by means of the Wittrick and Williams algorithm once the dynamic stiffness matrix of the entire structure is known.

Identification of Corrosion Damage in Boilers

CORROSION 1984, 1984
It has been said that, from the standpoint of corrosion, a boiler is but a thin film of magnetic iron oxide supported by steel. The preservation of this film is a primary consideration of all water treatment programs, both for operating and idle boilers.
