Damage process modeling on SMC

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, 1996
The damage processes taking place in SMC, which has been subjected to monotonically increasing tensile loads, are analyzed and the stress-strain curves are calculated. SMC is viewed as a laminate consisting of fiber bundles embedded in a resin/filler matrix.

Freeze-thaw damage analysis of expansive soils based on natural strain damage model

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2020
The quantitative freeze-thaw damage analysis of expansive soils is of great practical significance for engineering in cold regions. In view of the unreasonable selection of strain model in the existing researches on soil damage model, the concept of ...

Damage test and model study of soft and hard interbedded rock based on piezoelectric ceramics and DIC

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan, 2023
In order to explore the damage evolution law of soft and hard interbedded rock after failure, three groups of rock-like test blocks (soft rock, interbedded rock and hard rock) were made by using the similar model theory.

Differences between regular and random order of updates in damage spreading simulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We investigate the spreading of damage in the three-dimensional Ising model by means of large-scale Monte-Carlo simulations. Within the Glauber dynamics we use different rules for the order in which the sites are updated.

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Evaluation of the Durability and the Property of an Asphalt Concrete with Nano Hydrophobic Silane Silica in Spring-Thawing Season

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
In the spring-thawing season, the high frequency of freeze-soak-scour cycles in the short term is the main cause of pavement damage in the frozen region.

Experimental Study on the Dip Angle Effect of Layered Cemented Fillers: A Sandblasting Treatment Applied to Mine Filling

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
In order to study the effect of interlayer dip angle on the mechanical properties of tail sand cemented filler and to improve the deterioration of the mechanical properties of the filler caused by delamination, this study introduces the sandblasting ...

Complete damage in linear elastic materials - Modeling, weak formulation and existence results

open access: yes, 2014
In this work, we introduce a degenerating PDE system with a time-depending domain for complete damage processes under time-varying Dirichlet boundary conditions.

Survival Outcomes and Complications Among Canadian Children With Retinoblastoma: A Population‐Based Report From CYP‐C

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common pediatric ocular cancer, yet population‐based data on survival and risk factors remain limited. This study aimed to describe survival in a large national RB cohort and identify predictors of death and complications.

Vibration Fatigue Damage Accumulation of Ti–6Al–4V under Constant and Sequenced Variable Loading Conditions

open access: yesMetals, 2018
This study aims to investigate the effect of loading factors on damage accumulation under variable amplitude vibration (VAV). Vibration fatigue experiments are conducted under both constant amplitude vibration (CAV) and VAV loading cases.
