Developmental Disorders in Children Recently Diagnosed With Cancer
ABSTRACT Neurocognitive deficits in adult survivors of childhood cancer are well established, but less is known about developmental disorders (DD) arising shortly after cancer diagnosis. Using 2016–2019 linked Ohio cancer registry and Medicaid data, we compared DD among 324 children with cancer and 606,913 cancer‐free controls.

INITIAL PRODUCTION OF DEFECTS IN ALKALI-HALIDES - F AND H CENTER PRODUCTION BY NON-RADIATIVE DECAY OF SELF-TRAPPED EXCITON [PDF]
Radiation damage in KCl can be produced by the decay of a self-trapped exciton into an F centre and an H centre. The authors present calculations of the energies of the states involved for various stages in the evolution of the damage.

ABSTRACT Background B‐acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B‐ALL) is the most common pediatric cancer, and while most children in high‐resource settings are cured, therapy carries risks for long‐term toxicities. Understanding parents’ concerns about these late effects is essential to guide anticipatory support and inform evolving therapeutic approaches ...

Impact indentation is believed to be an effective indication of low-velocity impact (LVI) damage for polymer matrix composites. However, it has been discovered that an indentation can partially rebound over time.

Phenomenological modeling of strain hardening, phase transformation and damage effects of trip-steels [PDF]
In this study, the constitutive modeling of loading state dependent strain hardening and martensite evolution of high alloyed TRIP-steels are addressed, which are experimentally observed comparing uni-axial tension and compression test results ...

Damage detection in beams from modal and wavelet analysis using a stationary roving mass and noise estimation [PDF]
This paper uses the Continuous Wavelet Transform Analysis on mode shapes for damage identification. The wavelet analysis is applied to the difference in the mode shapes between a healthy and a damaged state.

The effect of the number of response cycles on the behaviour of reinforced concrete elements subject to cyclic loading [PDF]
The development of damage in reinforced concrete (RC) structures is a cumulative process. Some damage indices used to quantify damage make use of the number of response cycles as an Engineering Demand Parameter (EDP) relating with damage development ...
