AbstractInterspecies hybrids have long been studied to further understanding of speciation. Reciprocal crosses sometimes have asymmetric viability, a phenomenon termed ‘Darwin's corollary to Haldane's rule’. It has been proposed that this asymmetry is caused by Dobzhansky–Muller incompatibilities between nuclear genes and cytoplasmic factors (e.g ...

The complete mitochondrial genome of dwarf danio, Danio nigrofasciatus
Mitochondrial DNA Part A, 2015In this study, we report the complete mitochondrial genome sequence of dwarf danio, Danio nigrofasciatus, for the first time. The genome is found to be 16 616 bp in length and has a base composition of A (31.97%), G (15.88%), C (23.99%), and T (28.16%), indicating that the percentage of A + T (60.13%) was higher than G + C (39.87%).

Recovery of Edwardsiella ictaluri from danio (Danio devario)
Aquaculture, 1985Abstract A disease outbreak in the danio ( Danio devario ) resulted in the isolation of Edwardsiella ictaluri as the etiologic agent. This isolate was compared with typical E. ictaluri and found to give identical reactions. It was also pathogenic for channel catfish. This is the second isolation of E. ictaluri from non-ictalurid fish.
