Galileo's ship and the relativity principle
Abstract It is widely acknowledged that the Galilean Relativity Principle, according to which the laws of classical systems are the same in all inertial frames in relative motion, has played an important role in the development of modern physics. It is also commonly believed that this principle holds the key to answering why, for example, we do not ...

On The Spacelike Parallel Ruled Surfaces With Darboux Frame
In this study, the spacelike parallel ruled surfaces with Darboux frame are introduced in Minkowski 3-space. Then some characteristic properties of the spacelike parallel ruled surfaces with Darboux frame such as developability, the striction point and the distribution parameter are obtained in Minkowski 3-space.

ABSTRACT Existing methods for constructing splines and Bézier curves on a Lie group G$$ G $$ involve repeated products of exponentials deduced from local geodesics, w.r.t. a Riemannian metric, or rely on general polynomials. Moreover, each of these local curves is supposed to start at the identity of G$$ G $$.

This study introduces a camera‐based approach for distributed, high‐resolution flow velocity measurements during artificial rainfall simulations, using particle tracking velocimetry (PTV). The results demonstrate PTV's potential as a robust and easily implementable tool for improving runoff model assessment and process understanding at small scales ...

Transversal Intersection Curves of Two Surfaces in Minkowski 3-Space
In this paper, we study the differential geometry of the transversal intersection curve of two surfaces in Minkowski 3-space, where each pair satisfies the following types spacelike-lightlike, timelike-lightlike and lightlike-lightlike.

Abstract In the French Armorican Massif, the Bretonian phase of the Variscan orogeny has been defined by the Late Devonian (Famennian‐Frasnian) erosion gap, and the Early Carboniferous (Tournaisian) syntectonic terrigenous deposits of the l’Huisserie formation in the Laval basin in the Central‐North Armorican Domain, ascribed to the Armorica ...

Foundations of Ghost Stability
Abstract The authors present a new method to analytically prove global stability in ghost‐ridden dynamical systems. The proposal encompasses all prior results and consequentially extends them. In particular, it is shown that stability can follow from a conserved quantity that is unbounded from below, contrary to expectation.

Bertrand partner trajectories related to PAFORS [PDF]
In this study, we consider the concept of Bertrand partner trajectories related to Positional Adapted Frame on Regular Surfaces (shortly PAFORS) for the particles moving on the different regular surfaces in Euclidean 3-space.

DARBOUX FRAME OF VIVIANI’S CURVE
This study investigates the differential geometric properties of Viviani's curve using the Darboux frame apparatus. Viviani's curve, a classical space curve arising from the intersection of specific surfaces, is examined from two distinct geometric perspectives: first as the intersection of a sphere and a circular cylinder, and second as the ...
