Darier-White disease (DD) is an autosomal-dominant inherited disease characterized by keratotic papules that are usually located in seborrheic areas. Systemic retinoids generally are first-line treatment in cases of diffuse DD. We report the case of an 84-year-old woman with a hypertrophic variant of DD with acral lesions.

Darier-White disease (DWD), otherwise known as keratosis follicularis, is a rare disorder of keratinization of the epidermis, mucous membranes, and nails. It is autosomal dominant in transmission. Patients with DWD are prone to frequent superinfection including the rare complication of Kaposi varicelliform eruption.

Darier-White disease in a Saudi patient associated with systemic involvement.
A 22 year-old Saudi patient is reported who had Darier-White disease (Keratosis follicularis), presenting with the classical cutaneous manifestation of this disease in addition to systemic symptoms, including chronic renal failure, mental retardation, epilepsy, cataract and corneal opacities.

Journal of Maxillofacial Surgery, 1983A 69-year-old white male with a long history of severe Darier-White's disease presented with an extensive intraoral malignancy. High dose external supervoltage radiotherapy (Cobalt-60) to the tumour caused remarkable clearing of the hyperkeratotic lesions involving the overlying skin.
