Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Single Remote Sensing Image Dehazing Using Robust Light-Dark Prior

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
Haze, generated by floaters (semitransparent clouds, fog, snow, etc.) in the atmosphere, can significantly degrade the utilization of remote sensing images (RSIs).

Low-Temperature Enhancement of Semi-annihilation and the AMS-02 Positron Anomaly [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Semi-annihilation is a generic feature of particle dark matter that is most easily probed by cosmic ray experiments. We explore models where the semi-annihilation cross section is enhanced at late times and low temperatures by the presence of an s ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Efficient single image dehazing by modifying the dark channel prior

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Image and Video Processing, 2019
Outdoor images can be degraded due to the particles in the air that absorb and scatter light. The produced degradation generates contrast attenuation, blurring, and distortion in pixels, resulting in low visibility. These limit the efficiency of computer

Image Haze Removal Algorithm Using a Logarithmic Guide Filtering and Multi-Channel Prior

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
In reality, the quality of an image is generally affected by haze. To obtain a well-quality image, removing haze is a hot issue on theory and application. This paper proposes a new algorithm to remove haze of hazy images.

Improved reflection removal with dark channel prior

open access: yes, 2021
This article proposed an idea that the quality of reflection removal can be improved by preprocess the input image with a dehaze method (which is dark channel prior in this paper).

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Blind Image Deblurring via a Novel Sparse Channel Prior

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Blind image deblurring (BID) is a long-standing challenging problem in low-level image processing. To achieve visually pleasing results, it is of utmost importance to select good image priors. In this work, we develop the ratio of the dark channel prior (

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status
