Distinguishing between optical coherent states with imperfect detection
Several proposed techniques for distinguishing between optical coherent states are analyzed under a physically realistic model of photodetection. Quantum error probabilities are derived for the Kennedy receiver, the Dolinar receiver and the unitary ...

Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.

Enhancement technique of underground image based on dark channel prior
In view of problem that existing image fuzzy enhancement algorithm of underground coal mine cannot deal with the situation when the image is in fog and the processed images are obscure, the paper proposed an enhancement technique of underground image ...

Rapid Fog-Removal Strategies for Traffic Environments
In a foggy traffic environment, the vision sensor signal of intelligent vehicles will be distorted, the outline of obstacles will become blurred, and the color information in the traffic road will be missing.

Supersymmetry Without Prejudice at the LHC
The discovery and exploration of Supersymmetry in a model-independent fashion will be a daunting task due to the large number of soft-breaking parameters in the MSSM. In this paper, we explore the capability of the ATLAS detector at the LHC ($\sqrt s=14$

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Constraining Supersymmetry using the relic density and the Higgs boson
Recent measurements by Planck, LHC experiments, and Xenon100 have significant impact on supersymmetric models and their parameters. We first illustrate the constraints in the mSUGRA plane and then perform a detailed analysis of the general MSSM with 13 ...

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.

In this paper we explore a possible route of black hole seed formation that appeal to a model by Davies, Miller & Bellovary who considered the case of the dynamical collapse of a dense cluster of stellar black holes subjected to an inflow of gas.

Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...
