White Dwarfs with Infrared Excess in the HET Dark Energy Experiment

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Abstract White dwarfs with infrared excess emission provide a window into the late stages of stellar evolution and the dynamics of circumstellar environments. Using data from the Hobby–Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment, we characterized 30 white dwarfs exhibiting infrared excess, including 29 DA and 1 DB stars.

Pion bremsstrahlung in the splitting function formalism and the dark photon production

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the production of hypothetical vector portal mediators, dark photons γ ′, with masses in the range 0.4–3.5 GeV in the negatively charged pion-proton collisions π − p → γ ′ X via inelastic pion bremsstrahlung and QCD Drell-Yan-like process.

Numerical methods for scalar field dark energy in tabletop experiments and Lunar Laser Ranging

open access: yesJournal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics
Abstract Numerous tabletop experiments have been dedicated to exploring the manifestations of screened scalar field dark energy, such as symmetron or chameleon fields. Precise theoretical predictions require simulating field configurations within the respective experiments.

Impacts of dark energy on weighing neutrinos after DESI BAO

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
Recently, DESI has released baryon acoustic oscillation (BAO) data, and DES has also published its 5-year supernova (SN) data. These observations, combined with cosmic microwave background (CMB) data, support a dynamically evolving dark energy at a high ...
