The Shape of Dark Matter Halos

open access: yes, 1999
Techniques for inferring the radial and geometric form of dark matter halos and the results they have produced to date are reviewed. Dark halos appear to extend to at least ~50 kpc with total enclosed masses that rise linearly with radius R. Whether this behavior can be extrapolated to distances as large as 200 kpc and beyond is controversial; results ...

Unusual Swelling Behavior of Hydrogels Modified with Spiropyran as Appendage or Crosslinker

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Not so innocent after all—spiropyran crosslinkers in methylenebisacrylamide‐crosslinked poly(acrylamide‐co‐acrylic acid) hydrogels increase crosslinking density, but also, counterintuitively, increase swelling. Charge complexation, cooperative chemo‐mechanical effects, and aggregation may explain these observations.

Cored Navarro-Frenk-White dark matter halo: novel black hole solution, energy condition, optical properties, quasinormal modes and thermodynamics

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
In this work, we present an exact solution describing a static, spherically symmetric black hole immersed in a cored Navarro–Frenk–White (NFW) dark matter halo.

Diverse dark matter haloes in two-field fuzzy dark matter

open access: yesPhysical Review D
Fuzzy dark matter (FDM) is a compelling candidate for dark matter, offering a natural explanation for the structure of diffuse low-mass haloes. However, the canonical FDM model with a mass of $10^{-22}~{\rm eV}$ encounters challenges in reproducing the observed diversity of dwarf galaxies, except for possibly scenarios where strong galactic feedback is
