Combinatorial Data Analysis: Association and Partial Association

Psychometrika, 1985
A combinatorial data analysis strategy is reviewed that is designed to compare two arbitrary measures of proximity defined between the objects from some set. Based on a particular cross-product definition of correspondence between these two numerically specified notions of proximity (typically represented in the form of matrices), extensions are then ...

Impulse optimization for data association

49th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2010
This paper presents a new method that addresses measurement origin uncertainty. Measurement origin uncertainty occurs when the object a measurement originated from is not clear. The systems considered contain multiple bodies which are dynamically indistinguishable other than initial conditions.

Discovering associations in XML data

Proceedings of the Third International Conference on Web Information Systems Engineering (Workshops), 2002., 2005
Knowledge inference from semi-structured data can utilize frequent sub structures, in addition to frequency of data items. In fact, the working assumption of the present study is that frequent sub-trees of XML data represent sets of tags (objects) that aremeaningfully associated. A method for extracting frequent sub-trees from XML data is presented.

Authenticated-encryption with associated-data

Proceedings of the 9th ACM conference on Computer and communications security, 2002
When a message is transformed into a ciphertext in a way designed to protect both its privacy and authenticity, there may be additional information, such as a packet header, that travels alongside the ciphertext (at least conceptually) and must get authenticated with it.

Semantic data modeling of hypermedia associations

ACM Transactions on Information Systems, 1993
Many important issues in the design and implementation of hypermedia system functionality focus on the way interobject connections are represented, manipulated, and stored. A prototypic system called HB1 is being designed to meet the storage needs of next-generation hypermedia system architectures.

Associative tabular data structures

ACM SIGPLAN Notices, 1971
A data structure may be defined as an organized set of words (comprising more than one word) in memory for which an accessing procedure is provided. According to this definition, an ALGOL array is a data structure, as are the list structures used in LISP and the more elaborate structures of the same type in which blocks of words are linked by pointers.

Intensional associations between data and metadata

Proceedings of the 2007 ACM SIGMOD international conference on Management of data, 2007
There is a growing need to associate a variety of metadata with the underlying data, but a simple, elegant approach to uniformly model and query both the data and the metadata has been elusive. In this paper, we argue that (1) the relational model augmented with queries as data values is a natural way to uniformly model data, arbitrary metadata and ...

Using Queries to Associate Metadata with Data

2007 IEEE 23rd International Conference on Data Engineering, 2007
As relational databases proliferate and become increasingly complex, both in their internal structure and in their interactions with other databases and applications, there is a growing need to associate a variety of metadata with the underlying data. Even though the need has been apparent, a simple, elegant approach to uniformly model and query both ...

Data Visualization Association Algorithm Based on Spatio-Temporal Association Big Data

2020
This paper mainly studies and realizes the spatio-temporal multidimensional visualization under the big data environment. By analyzing the spatiotemporal correlation of wireless sensor networks under the random large-scale dense deployment of sensor nodes, ensure that there is no monitoring blind spot in the area, the accuracy of data sampling and the ...
