In this paper the model PER (Process Entity Relationships) for semantic data modeling is presented, based on process and architectural approach. Terms, symbols and conventions used are explained. The levels of the model were described, and some example models are given.

In this article, we present an extended relational algebra with universally or existentially quantified classes as attribute values. The proposed extension can greatly enhance the expressive power of relational systems, and significantly reduce the size of a database, at small additional computational cost.

While schema descriptions are a necessity for large database applications, many current hypermedia applications have been developed without semantic modeling. Addressing these shortcomings several modeling techniques for hypermedia systems have been developed recently, which extend known domain modeling techniques from the database and software ...

The censored normal regression model considered by Tobin (1958), also commonly known as the ‘tobit’ model, is the following: $$y_i^* = \beta {x_i} + {u_i}.\quad {u_i} \sim IN(0,{\sigma ^2})$$ The observed y i are related to y i * according to the relationship $$\eqalign{ & {y_i} = y_i^*\quad if\,y_i^* > {y_0} \cr & = {y_0}\quad \;\quad ...

The research proposes a new approach to data quality management presenting three groups of DSL (Domain Specific Language). The first language group uses concept of data object in order to describe data to be analysed, the second group describes the requirements on data quality, and the third group describes data quality management process. The modelling of maintenance data starts with the black-box approach (where the model selection is based solely on the maintenance data) and then through the grey-box approach for proper analysis (where one can gain insights to build better models). These models allow for more effective maintenance of the object.
