Privacy-preserving Data Mining, Sharing and Publishing [PDF]
The goal of the paper is to present different approaches to privacy-preserving data sharing and publishing in the context of e-health care systems. In particular, the literature review on technical issues in privacy assurance and current real-life high complexity implementation of medical system that assumes proper data sharing mechanisms are presented

In molecular cancer diagnostics, comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) is going to replace the small NGS panels since it provides all clinically relevant somatic variants as well as genomic biomarkers with clinical value. Here, we compared two CGP assays and demonstrate that the choice for diagnostic implementation will depend on the specific ...

A New Approach to Privacy-Preserving Multiple Independent Data Publishing
We study the problem of privacy preservation in multiple independent data publishing. An attack on personal privacy which uses independent datasets is called a composition attack.

Full-text Support for Publish/Subscribe Ontology Systems [PDF]
We envision a publish/subscribe ontology system that is able to index millions of user subscriptions and filter them against ontology data that arrive in a streaming fashion. In this work, we propose a SPARQL extension appropriate for a publish/subscribe setting; our extension builds on the natural semantic graph matching of the language and supports ...

Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are associated with early breast cancer response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). This study evaluated EMT and TIL shifts, with immunofluorescence and RNA sequencing, at diagnosis and in residual tumors as potential biomarkers associated with treatment response.

Cancer stem cells are associated with aggressive disease, but a deep characterization of such markers is lacking in endometrial cancer. This study uses imaging mass cytometry to explore putative cancer stem cell markers in endometrial tumors and corresponding organoid models.

Stochastic variation in the FOXM1 transcription program mediates replication stress tolerance
Cellular heterogeneity is a major cause of drug resistance in cancer. Segeren et al. used single‐cell transcriptomics to investigate gene expression events that correlate with sensitivity to the DNA‐damaging drugs gemcitabine and prexasertib. They show that dampened expression of transcription factor FOXM1 and its target genes protected cells against ...
