Integrated Recovery/Recapture Data Analysis

Biometrics, 1998
Summary: The integration of recovery and recapture data, providing information on the same individuals, is important for the stable fitting of a wide range of stochastic models, resulting in more realistic estimates of survival probabilities of wild animals than when either the recovery or recapture data are used separately.

Data recovery in Forensics

2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN), 2017
In today's world, Cyber Security and Forensics are in great demand in this data recovery plays an important role. In certain scenarios, the data storage devices could be destroyed or damaged by the convict and this is where data recovery comes in to play and recover data from these artifacts.

Deleted Data Recovery Mechanism

Advances in Multidisciplinary and scientific Research Journal Publication, 2022
According to a survey, 90% of all information never leaves the digital form. The fundamental importance of data preservation is quite clear, as a small inattentive move could lead to a loss of pertinent data which could inform a major decision. The majority of information these days is being created, modified, and consumed entirely in digital form ...

Data sampling and data recovery

Experiments in Fluids, 1991
The sampling theorem states that a continuous signal can always be reconstructed from an equi-spaced set of samples of the signal, as long as the sampling rate has been chosen in accordance with the Nyquist criterion, thus allowing economical use of sampling rate and data storage.

Cyber-compromised data recovery : The more likely disaster recovery use case

Journal of Business Continuity & Emergency Planning, 2020
To extort a ransom payment, ransomware actors must make the threat sufficiently compelling that payment seems like the only option. This is achieved by encrypting or disabling a company’s data replicas and backups as well as its production data — data that are essential to the organisation’s success. To prevent this happening, it is essential to extend

Model Selection for Integrated Recovery/Recapture Data

Biometrics, 2002
Catchpole et al. (1998, Biometrics 54, 33-46) provide a novel scheme for integrating both recovery and recapture data analyses and derive sufficient statistics that facilitate likelihood computations. In this article, we demonstrate how their efficient likelihood expression can facilitate Bayesian analyses of these kinds of data and extend their ...

Spirometric Measurement Postprocessing: Expiration Data Recovery

IEEE Sensors Journal, 2010
Spirometry deals with finding and predicting respiratory system pathologies through instrumentation that mainly carries out measurements on the volume and the air flow expired from lungs. In many cases, during spirometric and pneumotachographic trials in hospital, there are people who are not able to begin or to complete their tests because of diverse ...

Recovery of Data Dependencies

2005
Today, many companies have to deal with problems in maintaining legacy database applications, which were developed on old database technology. These applications are getting harder and harder to maintain. Reengineering is an important means to address the problems and to upgrade the applications to newer technology (Hainaut, Englebert, Henrard, Hick, J.

Stable seismic data recovery

2008
In this talk, directional frames, known as curvelets, are used to recover seismic data and images from noisy and incomplete data. Sparsity and invariance properties of curvelets are exploited to formulate the recovery by a `1-norm promoting program.
