NEW APPROACHES TO MISSING BIOMEDICAL DATA RECOVERY FOR MACHINE LEARNING
Missing data is a common problem for medical data sets, especially large ones. This issue is of major importance since it can influence the analysis and further use of the data, e.g., for machine learning purposes.

Sign Data Derivative Recovery [PDF]
Given only the signs of signal plus noise added repetitively or sign data, signal amplitudes can be recovered with minimal variance. However, discrete derivatives of the signal are recovered from sign data with a variance which approaches infinity with decreasing step size and increasing order.

Community Partitioning over Feature-Rich Networks Using an Extended K-Means Method
This paper proposes a meaningful and effective extension of the celebrated K-means algorithm to detect communities in feature-rich networks, due to our assumption of non-summability mode.

To realize a long-distance underwater communication by using low-cost light emitting diode (LED) and single photon avalanche diode (SPAD), we proposed a method for recovering clock and data directly from discrete random pulse sequences output by SPAD. On

Data recovery for web applications [PDF]
Web-based applications store their data at the server side. This design has several benefits, but it can also cause a serious problem because a misconfiguration, bug or vulnerability leading to data loss or corruption can affect many users. While data backup solutions can help resolve some of these issues, they do not help diagnose the events that led ...

ABSTRACT Background Cerebellar ataxia after pediatric brain tumor treatment can cause persistent gait, balance, and speech impairment, yet no established rehabilitation strategy exists. Somato‐cognitive coordination therapy (SCCT) is a virtual reality–guided intervention designed to promote sensorimotor integration through visually constrained reaching

ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.
