3D Hydrodynamic Flow Lithography

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Continuous‐ and stop‐flow lithography are widely used to fabricate multi‐dimensional microstructures whose cross‐sectional morphology is dictated by the flow profile of multiple co‐flowing streams. Here, we introduce three‐dimensional hydrodynamic flow lithography (3D HFL), a platform for programmable generation of multi‐layered flow profiles ...

BiModalClust: Fused Data and Neighborhood Variation for Advanced K-Means Big Data Clustering

open access: yesApplied Sciences
K-means clustering is a fundamental tool in data mining, yet its scalability and efficacy decline when faced with massive datasets. In this work, we introduce BiModalClust, a novel clustering algorithm that leverages a bimodal optimization paradigm to ...

Broadband Silicon‐On‐Glass Reflective Dielectric Metasurface for THz Beam Steering in 6G Wireless Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A CMOS‐compatible, all‐dielectric Silicon‐on‐Glass reflective metasurface enables low–loss terahertz wavefront control for future 6G wireless communication. Mie‐resonant silicon pillars provide full phase coverage near 500 GHz, achieving experimentally validated single‐, dual‐, and five‐beam steering with sub‐1.5° angular error and less than 3 dB ...

Self‐Assembled Lipids as Soft Dielectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐assembled lipid bilayers serve as soft dielectric materials for ultrathin electronics. Using liquid‐metal parallel‐plate junctions, the capacitance and dielectric breakdown of dehydrated lipid films are characterized. Dielectric behavior is controlled by lipid molecular structure, cholesterol content, and assembly conditions, providing molecular ...

A Selective Reprocessing Mechanism to Achieve End-to-End Data Consistency in Streaming Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access
In this work the challenge of end-to-end data consistency is addressed in the context of an industrial real-time Big Data project, as it cannot be achieved solely by using known tools or architectures. The main goal is to guarantee end-to-end consistency

Programming Nanoscale Reaction Environments via Peptide Localization for Gold Nanoparticle Growth in Liposomal Nanoreactors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The liposome nanoreactor method enables uniform metal nanoparticle synthesis using the interior as a reaction environment. We demonstrate that peptide sequences and lipid compositions act as a functional molecular switch to control reaction environments in liposome nanoreactors.
