Adipokines and Associations with Incident Osteoporotic Fracture in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Purpose We assessed whether circulating adipokines are associated with incident fractures in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods Three adipokines (adiponectin, leptin, fibroblast growth factor [FGF]‐21) were measured using banked enrollment serum from participants in a longitudinal RA cohort.

Highly Active Air Electrode with Enhanced Proton Conduction via Isovalent Doping in a Layered Perovskite for Reversible Protonic Ceramic Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Ni‐doped PBSCN20 air electrode is proposed as a promising air electrode material for reversible protonic ceramic cells. An isovalent doping significantly facilitates oxygen vacancy formation and proton uptake while simultaneously reducing the energy barrier for proton migration.

Big Data in Data Warehouses [PDF]

open access: yesThe Future of Information Sciences, 2015
The amount of data grows every day. Along with that, new challanges and needs appear. We wonder how to collect and process this enormous amount of data and to get the information we need for bussiness management. Tools and technologies for that task should be scalable, distributed and with high bandwidth so we can quickly get to the information we want.

Genomic Variation Underpins Genetic Divergence and Differing Salt Resilience in Sesbania bispinosa

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sesbania, a leguminous halophyte, thrives in saline soils. Comparative genomics reveals key genomic variations—particularly chromosomal inversions—are identified as contributors to population differentiation and salt resilience. These findings advance the understanding of genomic variation driving evolution and phenotypic differentiation and offer ...

The Role and Impact of Rooftop Photovoltaics in the Norwegian Energy System under Different Energy Transition Pathways

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
This study investigates the impact and cost‐competitiveness of rooftop solar power in a highly hydropower‐driven northern energy system toward 2050. The role of rooftop photovoltaics (PV) is assessed under different energy transition pathways and through a sensitivity analysis aiming to disclose important barriers to PV investments in the energy system.
