Assisting data warehousing populating processes design through modelling using Coloured Petri Nets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Data warehousing systems populating processes are responsible for loading their data repositories – the data warehouses – with information they extract from operational sources. The tasks that integrate these processes are the most complex ones that we

Engineering Compact Base Editors by AlphaFold‐Guided Mutation Scan and Escherichia coli‐Based Tri‐Selection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A miniaturized deaminase SsdAtox was scanned with AlphaFold to identify DNA binding pocket hot spots. Site‐saturation mutagenesis at gatekeeper residue K31 yielded ten‐fold activity enhancement. Trinity Screen, an E. coli‐based three‐in‐one platform selecting for high activity and reduced double‐strand breaks, enabled combinatorial evolution at DNA ...

Optimized cost effective approach for selection of materialized views in data warehousing

open access: yesJournal of Computer Science and Technology, 2009
A data warehouse efficiently processes a given set of queries by utilizing the multiple materialized views. Owing to the constraint on space and maintenance cost, the materialization of all views is unfeasible.

Ejecta‐Modulated Bubble Dynamics Play a Dominant Role in Stone Retropulsion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Stone motion during laser ablation is shown to result primarily from asymmetric cavitation bubble collapse, not from ejecta recoil. This challenges long‐standing assumptions and highlights the dominant role of bubble dynamics in laser–material interactions.
