Representation of Web Data in A Web Warehouse

The Computer Journal, 2003
Summary: We believe that, to manage Web data effectively, there is a need to build a data warehouse of Web data, i.e. a Web warehouse. We focus on how to represent and store relevant hyperlinked Web documents effectively in a Web warehouse called WHOWEDA (WareHouse of WEb DAta) for further querying and manipulation.

Translating Web Data

2002
We present a novel framework for mapping between any combination of XML and relational schemas, in which a high-level, user-specified mapping is translated into semantically meaningful queries that transform source data into the target representation. Our approach works in two phases.

Web Data Clustering

2009
This chapter provides a survey of some clustering methods relevant to clustering Web elements for better information access. We start with classical methods of cluster analysis that seems to be relevant in approaching the clustering of Web data. Graph clustering is also described since its methods contribute significantly to clustering Web data.

Warehousing Web Data

2007
In a data warehousing process, mastering the data preparation phase allows substantial gains in terms of time and performance when performing multidimensional analysis or using data mining algorithms. Furthermore, a data warehouse can require external data. The web is a prevalent data source in this context. In this paper, we propose a modeling process

Querying web data

Proceedings of the 38th annual on Southeast regional conference, 2000
An object-oriented database methodology for querying Web sources of data, structured in XML, is presented in this paper. A querying system is developed based on this methodology using ObjectStore database system. XML data are converted into objects that can be stored as part of the ObjectStore database system.
