Design sensitivity analysis using EAL. Part 1: Conventional design parameters [PDF]

open access: yes
A numerical implementation of design sensitivity analysis of builtup structures is presented, using the versatility and convenience of an existing finite element structural analysis code and its database management system. The finite element code used in

Beyond digital twins: the role of foundation models in enhancing the interpretability of multiomics modalities in precision medicine

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review highlights how foundation models enhance predictive healthcare by integrating advanced digital twin modeling with multiomics and biomedical data. This approach supports disease management, risk assessment, and personalized medicine, with the goal of optimizing health outcomes through adaptive, interpretable digital simulations, accessible ...

Semantics and Evaluation of Top-k Queries in Probabilistic Databases [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
We study here fundamental issues involved in top-k query evaluation in probabilistic databases. We consider simple probabilistic databases in which probabilities are associated with individual tuples, and general probabilistic databases in which, additionally, exclusivity relationships between tuples can be represented.

Lua API and benchmark design using 3n+1 sequences: Comparing API elegance and raw speed in Redis and YottaDB databases [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Elegance of a database API matters. Frequently, database APIs suit the database designer, rather than the programmer's desire for elegance and efficiency. This article pursues both: firstly, by comparing the Lua APIs for two separate databases, Redis and YottaDB.

METTL3 knockout accelerates hepatocarcinogenesis via inhibiting endoplasmic reticulum stress response

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Liver‐specific knockout of N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) methyltransferase METTL3 significantly accelerated hepatic tumor initiation under various oncogenic challenges, contrary to the previously reported oncogenic role of METTL3 in liver cancer cell lines or xenograft models. Mechanistically, METTL3 deficiency reduced m6A deposition on Manf transcripts and

Downregulation of O‐GlcNAcylation enhances etoposide‐induced p53‐mediated apoptosis in HepG2 human liver cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Etoposide, a topoisomerase II inhibitor, reduces O‐GlcNAcylation in HepG2 liver cancer cells. Further inhibition of O‐GlcNAc transferase by OSMI‐1 enhanced etoposide‐induced apoptosis, lowering the IC50 for viability and increasing the EC50 for cytotoxicity.

THE OBJECTUAL DATABASE DESIGN FOR A VIRTUAL STORE [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Oradea: Economic Science, 2010
Nowadays, the most systems on the Internet are using databases. These databases are relational and normalized. Although the tables of the relational model itself does not have a behaviour in context object, though the diagrams uses different methods.
