Web Resources for Model Organism Studies
An ever-growing number of resources on model organisms have emerged with the continued development of sequencing technologies. In this paper, we review 13 databases of model organisms, most of which are reported by the National Institutes of Health of ...

Input database related uncertainty of Biome-BGCMuSo agro-environmental model outputs
Gridded model assessments require at least one climatic and one soil database for carrying out the simulations. There are several parallel soil and climate database development projects that provide sufficient, albeit considerably different, observation ...

Stochastic model for the vocabulary growth in natural languages
We propose a stochastic model for the number of different words in a given database which incorporates the dependence on the database size and historical changes.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Database Consistency Models [PDF]
A data store allows application processes to put and get data from a shared memory. In general, a data store cannot be modelled as a strictly sequential process. Applications observe non-sequential behaviours, called anomalies. The set of pos- sible behaviours, and conversely of possible anomalies, constitutes the consistency model of the data store.

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...
