Imprint of the Quasi‐Biennial Oscillation on the Ionosphere and Thermosphere
Abstract The Quasi‐Biennial Oscillation (QBO) is a dominant mode of stratospheric variability and is known to modulate the variability of the ionosphere‐thermosphere (IT) system. However, the extent of its influence on the ionosphere‐thermosphere system remains uncertain due to weak signals and confounding with similar periodicities in solar flux.

Adaptive Data Transmission in the Cloud
Data centers provide resources for a broad range of services, such as web search, email, web sites, etc, each with different delay requirements. For example, web search should cater to users' requests quickly, while data backup has no special requirement

Practical TDMA for Datacenter Ethernet [PDF]
Cloud computing is placing increasingly stringent demands on datacenter networks. Applications like MapReduce and Hadoop demand high bisection bandwidth to support their all-to-all shuffle communication phases. Conversely, Web services often rely on deep

FluidMem: Memory as a Service for the Datacenter
Disaggregating resources in data centers is an emerging trend. Recent work has begun to explore memory disaggregation, but suffers limitations including lack of consideration of the complexity of cloud-based deployment, including heterogeneous hardware and APIs for cloud users and operators.

Optimizing the Cost-Performance Tradeoff for Coflows Across Geo-Distributed Datacenters
For data analytics jobs running across geographically distributed datacenters, coflows have to go through the inter-datacenter network over relatively low bandwidth and high cost links. In this case, optimizing cost-performance tradeoffs for such coflows
