Facile Synthesis of CuxS Electrocatalysts for CO2 Conversion into Formate and Study of Relations Between Cu and S with the Selectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Copper sulfide based electrocatalysts for CO2 conversion are selective for production of formate as major product. Transformations under electrochemical conditions result in significant sulfur loss, and this study examines the nature of how persistent, residual sulfur (observed as surface SO42– species and S dissolved in the electrolyte) can sustain ...

Direct Ink Writing of Conductive Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines the use of direct ink writing (DIW) for fabricating conductive hydrogels with customizable 3D structures. It outlines the rheological requirements for successful DIW, followed by an exploration of the materials and ink formulations used to impart electronic and/or ionic conductivity to hydrogels while maintaining printability ...

Accuracy of Dating Parent Deaths: Recollected Dates Compared with Death Certificate Dates

British Journal of Psychiatry, 1973
Bereavement studies which have correlated mental illness and other pathology with the recent or past deaths of parents have relied on the subject's memory for ascertaining parent death dates. Data given by subjects can be wrong, because of faulty recollection or deliberate misinformation given to conceal something felt to be shameful, such as ...

Critiquing blind dating: the dangers of over-confident date estimates in comparative genomics

Trends in Ecology & Evolution, 2013
Phylogenomic advances provide more rigorous estimates for the timing of evolutionary divergences than previously available (e.g., Bayesian relaxed-clock estimates with soft fossil constraints). However, because many family-level clades and higher, as well as model species within those clades, have not been included in phylogenomic studies, the ...

Transition to date: a comparative overview

1997
Experience with the transition from plan to market has varied greatly across the reforming socialist countries. By the start of 1996 transition countries fell into three broad categories — growing, recovering, and lagging (Table 1). In the first category, China and Vietnam have experienced uninterrupted growth in real GDP since the beginning of their ...

A critical review of theoretical frameworks for dating violence: Comparing the dating and marital fields

Aggression and Violent Behavior, 2008
Recent studies have focused on the widespread problem of violence among adolescent and college aged dating couples. Much of this research has focused on identifying risk factors and correlates of dating violence, along with implementing intervention and prevention programs for the amelioration of this aberrant behavior.

THERMOLUMINESCENCE DATING OF BURNT FLINT AND QUARTZ: COMPARATIVE RESULTS

Archaeometry, 1987
Thermoluminescence dates obtained from burnt flints and quartz recovered from the same sites are compared. For the Upper Perigordian level at la Vigne Brun (Loire, France), four quartz specimens and three flints yielded average ages of 27 400 ± 2300 and 26 900 ± 2200 years respectively, which are 15% greater than the radiocarbon age obtained for the ...

Tests of a comparative method of dating plutonium samples

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1987
Abstract Tests of a comparative method of dating plutonium samples have been carried out using 241 Pu in aqueous solution. The six samples were of known ages (between 0.25 and 15 yr) and with one exception the measured ages, using particular samples as standards, agreed with the stated ages. In one case the agreement was beter than 1% in age.
