Comparing School Systems to Explain Enduring Birth Date Effects
Compare: A Journal of Comparative and International Education, 2001Birth date effects refer to an association between children's academic performance and their age within the school year. Early differences show disadvantage for the youngest in the year group. Birth date effects of the same kind which show up at the senior levels of school have been reported in the UK.

Tests of a comparative method of dating plutonium samples
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1987Abstract Tests of a comparative method of dating plutonium samples have been carried out using 241 Pu in aqueous solution. The six samples were of known ages (between 0.25 and 15 yr) and with one exception the measured ages, using particular samples as standards, agreed with the stated ages. In one case the agreement was beter than 1% in age.
