Manipulation of Emergent Collective Excitations via Composition Control in Mixed MPX3 Correlated 2D Antiferromagnets

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Transition metal and chalcogen substituents are introduced into 2D antiferromagnet, NiPS3, and comprehensive photoluminescence and Raman spectroscopy studies are conducted to investigate how spin orbit entangled exciton and two magnon scattering evolve as functions of substituent concentration.

Hippo Signaling in Cancer: Lessons From Drosophila Models

open access: yesFrontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, 2019
Hippo pathway was initially identified through genetic screens for genes regulating organ size in fruitflies. Recent studies have highlighted the role of Hippo signaling as a key regulator of homeostasis, and in tumorigenesis.

Inactivation of Hippo and cJun-N-terminal Kinase (JNK) signaling mitigate FUS mediated neurodegeneration in vivo

open access: yesNeurobiology of Disease, 2020
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a late-onset neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the loss of motor neurons in the central nervous system, has no known cure to-date.

Photonic Time Crystals and Time‐Varying Electromagnetic Metamatter: A New Direction for Ultrafast Tunable Photonic and Microwave Materials and Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photonic time crystals (PTCs) are systems in which electromagnetic parameters are modulated periodically in time, producing momentum bandgaps via temporal scattering rather than spatial Bragg processes. This review examines the theoretical frameworks, modeling, and computational tools for time‐varying media, and summarizes experimental demonstrations ...

Protocol to study cell death using TUNEL assay in Drosophila imaginal discs

open access: yesSTAR Protocols, 2022
Summary: Cell death maintains tissue homeostasis by eliminating dispensable cells. Misregulation of cell death is seen in diseases like cancer, neurodegeneration, etc.

Diffusion Characteristics of Ru and Oxygen Vacancies in Ta2O5 for Resistive Random Access Memory Devices: A Density Functional Theory Investigation

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Atomistic analysis of ruthenium (Ru) and oxygen vacancy (OV) diffusion in Ta₂O₅‐based memristors is performed. DFT calculations demonstrate interstitial Ru in Ta₂O₅ has lower diffusion barriers and formation energies than OVs, enhancing mobility and stability.

Current understanding and distinct features of multifocal and multicentric breast cancers

open access: yesCancer Reports, 2023
Background Multifocal (MF) and multicentric (MC) breast cancers are referred to as synchronous, multiple ipsilateral breast cancers; however, the definitions vary among the literature, which has made understanding and analyzing these diseases challenging.
