Understanding the Interplay Between Thermal Activation, Diffusion, and Phase Segregation of Molecular Dopants Blended with Polymeric Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The use of air stable but thermally labile molecules provides an efficient strategy for the N‐type doping of organic semiconductors with relatively low electron affinities. Design criteria for efficient dopants should also take into account diffusion and phase segregation that cannot be decoupled from thermally activated doping.

Dysferlin and other non-red cell proteins accumulate in the red cell membrane of Diamond-Blackfan Anemia patients. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Diamond Blackfan Anemia (DBA) is a congenital anemia usually caused by diverse mutations in ribosomal proteins. Although the genetics of DBA are well characterized, the mechanisms that lead to macrocytic anemia remain unclear.

Machine Learning Approach with Harmonized Multinational Datasets for Enhanced Prediction of Hypothyroidism in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

open access: yesDiagnostics
Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is a global health concern with increasing prevalence. Comorbid hypothyroidism (HT) exacerbates kidney, cardiac, neurological and other complications of T2D; these risks can be mitigated pharmacologically upon detecting HT.

Contact Dermatitis Caused by Dermabond Advanced Use

open access: yesPlastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Global Open, 2018
Background:. Dermabond Advanced (DBA) has been widely used globally; however, severe contact dermatitis (CD) can be a serious adverse effect of DBA use. In this study, we investigated the characterization and incidence rate of CD after using DBA and the ...

Electrohydrodynamic Fiber Pump With Dual‐Flow Channels

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A dual‐channel electrohydrodynamic (EHD) fiber pump is introduced, which enables fluid flow inside and outside fully exposed helical electrodes. The dual‐channel design significantly enhances flow rate, pressure, and efficiency compared with the conventional design.

Dibenzazepin‐verbrückte Netzwerk‐Polymer‐Phthalocyanine als abbaubare heterogene Photokatalysatoren

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

Primary hematopoietic cells from DBA patients with mutations in RPL11 and RPS19 genes exhibit distinct erythroid phenotype in vitro

open access: yesCell Death and Disease, 2012
Diamond-Blackfan anemia (DBA) is caused by aberrant ribosomal biogenesis due to ribosomal protein (RP) gene mutations. To develop mechanistic understanding of DBA pathogenesis, we studied CD34+ cells from peripheral blood of DBA patients carrying RPL11 ...
