AN ENHANCED POWER DC-AC BUCK CONVERTER

DYNA ENERGIA Y SOSTENIBILIDAD, 2023
ABSTRACT: This paper presents an enhanced power DC-AC buck converter. The main aim of this research paper is to ensure that the conventional H-bridge DC-AC buck converter is operated practically without delay time between the complementary power switches on the same leg.The enhanced version is realized by serially connecting sized inductor-capacitor ...

A bidirectional dc-ac converter

IECON 2012 - 38th Annual Conference on IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2012
This paper proposes a bidirectional grid interface converter to be applied in Energy-Control-Center (ECC) in order to interface dc variables, such as battery energy storage system and ac conventional utility grid. Such power electronics solution guarantees: (i) bidirectional power flow between dc and ac converter sides, (ii) independent control in both

Multilevel AC/DC/AC converter for ACdrives

IEE Proceedings - Electric Power Applications, 1999
A novel pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme for a multilevel AC/DC/AC power converter is proposed. A power factor corrector using the hysteresis current control technique is presented to improve the power quality at the rectifier side. The circuit configuration of the adopted five-level rectifier has two AC power switches and one diode bridge.

New symmetrical hybrid multilevel DC-AC converters

2008 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2008
This paper presents the analysis of new symmetrical hybrid multilevel inverters for high-voltage and high power applications. A three-level cell (denominated in the text by TC) and its respective commutation pattern are proposed. The purpose of the circuits presented here is to minimize the reverse voltage stress that affects the power switches and ...

Microprocessor Control of DC/AC Static Converters

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1985
Microprocessor control of power electronic systems offers the possibility of improvements in reliability, maintenance and servicing, and increased control flexibility. This paper describes several pulsewidth modulation (PWM) waveforms where a predetermined number of unwanted harmonics can be canceled.

Canonical structures of DC‐AC thyristor converters

International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 1986
AbstractRealizability conditions of periodic waveforms in passive switched circuits are presented. Formulae for an identification of state matrices in switched circuits are derived. As input data, time functions of excitation and response are chosen. Six general transformer structures of 1‐port thyristor converters have been obtained as a result of the

A hybrid modular multilevel DC/AC converter

2015 17th European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE'15 ECCE-Europe), 2015
This paper presents a hybrid modular multilevel topology for medium voltage drives requiring low frequencies and a high start-up torque. It operates from a DC supply which makes it easy to connect several drives to a single active front end converter, optionally also enabling galvanic isolation. The topology is compared to the modular multilevel matrix

DC/AC Converter Based on Buck Regulator

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
The introduction of DC/AC converter based on buck regulator is firstly shown, and the analysis of the converters working principle is taken. The control method applied for DC/AC converter based on buck regulator is studied also. The control effect of the open-loop proportional-differential control and closed-loop proportional-integral control are ...

Sliding mode control of DC-AC converters

1986 17th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1986
Switching converters are nonlinear dynamic systems of variable structure. The control of output variables is accomplished by the proper choice of sequence and time duration of OFF and ON states of the switches. The theory of VSS (Variable Structure Systems) and deliberate introduction of sliding modes makes possible realization of rather simple and yet

Transformer less boost/buck dc-ac converter

2015 International Conference on Circuits, Power and Computing Technologies [ICCPCT-2015], 2015
This paper introduces a new transformer less dc-ac converter with the feature that it produces an instantaneous output voltage higher or lower than the input dc voltage. The topology consists of two switching cells, well known dynamic response, does not have transformer or power conversion stage that saves us mass, losses, and volume of a transformer ...
