DC-DC conversion techniques for low-voltage power supplies
2015 IEEE International Symposium on Radio-Frequency Integration Technology (RFIT), 2015This paper describes two DC-DC conversion techniques suitable for low-voltage mobile applications. Converters using the first technique realize high efficiency under light-load conditions by having an architecture with a simple common-source amplifier and a low-power differential amplifier.

Switch-mode dc-dc synchronous buck converter functional blocks are discussed and different system partitioning solutions are examined. 3-D Microtransformers for DC–DC On-Chip Power Conversion
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2015We address the miniaturization of power converters by introducing novel 3-D microtransformers with magnetic core for low-megahertz frequency applications. The core is fabricated by lamination and microstructuring of Metglas 2714A magnetic alloy. The solenoids of the microtransformers are wound around the core using a ball-wedge wirebonder.
