Engagement Patterns With an Artificial Intelligence Health Coach for Systemic Sclerosis Self‐Management: A Mixed Methods Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective To evaluate utility of an artificial intelligence (AI) health coach for systemic sclerosis (SSc) self‐management and identify patterns associated with participant engagement. Methods We conducted a mixed methods study in which an AI health coach, powered by a large language model (LLM), was used to support self‐management for SSc.

Utility Transformer DC Bias Caused by Metro Stray Current—A Review

open access: yesEnergies
The rapid expansion of the urban rail network has increased concerns regarding stray current generated by the DC traction power supply system. This stray current, which arises from inadequate insulation between the rail and the ground, can cause ...

Factors Associated with Fibromyalgia Diagnosis amongst People Meeting Criteria: Results from UK Biobank

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective The diagnosis of fibromyalgia (FM) is challenging due to the absence of definitive biomarkers, numerous overlapping comorbidities and its reliance on patient‐reported symptoms. Discrepancies between diagnostic criteria and clinical practice imply the possibility of diagnostic biases, complicating timely and accurate identification. This study

A Practical Noise2Noise Denoising Pipeline for High‐Throughput Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A lightweight and reproducible denoising pipeline for high‐throughput Raman spectroscopy is introduced, based on a 1D convolutional autoencoder trained with a Noise2Noise strategy. Using only repeated short‐exposure acquisitions, the method suppresses stochastic noise without reference spectra, enabling reliable spectral reconstruction while preserving

Control of Polarization and Polar Helicity in BiFeO3 by Epitaxial Strain and Interfacial Chemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In BiFeO3 thin films, the interplay of interfacial chemistry, electrostatics, and epitaxial strain is engineered to stabilize homohelicity in polarization textures at the domain scale. The synergistic use of a Bi2O2‐terminated Aurivillius buffer layer and a highly anisotropic compressive epitaxial strain offers new routes to control the polar‐texture ...

Core loss calculation for power electronics converter excitation from a sinusoidal excited core loss data

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
The authors propose a core loss calculation method for power electronics converter excitation from sinusoidal excited core loss data. This method is based on Brockmeyer’s theory and adapts to calculate core loss under DC-bias excitation conditions ...

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Machine Learning Approach to Predict the DC Bias for Adaptive OFDM Transmission in Indoor Li-Fi Applications

open access: yesIEEE Access
Multilevel quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM) combined with DC-bias in optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DCO-OFDM) offers a spectrally efficient solution and adaptive transmission rates for indoor light-fidelity (Li-Fi) systems ...

Integration of Low‐Voltage Nanoscale MoS2 Memristors on CMOS Microchips

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the first monolithic integration of nanoscale MoS2‐based memristors into the back‐end‐of‐line of foundry‐fabricated CMOS microchips in a one‐transistor‐one‐resistor (1T1R) architecture. The MoS2‐based 1T1R cells exhibit forming‐free, nonvolatile resistive switching with ultra‐low operating voltages, low cycle‐to‐cycle variability ...
