The role of materials in the optimal design of magnetic components for DC–DC converters
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2022This paper analyses the design of the output inductor of a DC–DC converter, comparing the performances achieved by three different core materials to reach the best trade-off between the total losses and the size of the magnetic component. The N87 ferrite, the Xflux60 silicon iron powder, and the Metglas 2605 SA-1 iron-based amorphous are considered in ...

An Improved Design of a DC-DC Converter Using an Integrated Magnetic Component
2008 Twenty-Third Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2008This paper presents a detailed analysis of an integrated magnetic structure. A generalized analytical designing formula of an integrated magnetic component is introduced. An improved numerical method is applied to estimate the proximity losses due to currents waveforms in an integrated magnetic half-bridge dc/dc converter, which are not sinusoidal ...

A Capacitor Modeling Method for Integrated Magnetic Components in DC/DC Converters
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2005For the special case of dc/dc converters, the gyrator-capacitor model is revised by replacing gyrators with current sources to symbolize the electrical actions on windings. The revised capacitor model is suitable for analyzing integrated magnetic components. Several examples illustrate the usage of this approach.

Acquisition of DC Component of Biopotentials With Body Surface Electrodes
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 2013The dc component of biological sources is difficult to measure with body surface electrodes. This is due to the existence of an electrical polarization in the interface between the electrode and the electrolyte. A system to acquire a dc component of the biological origin is proposed by means of differentiating the polarization potential from the ...
